This is a course you read, type into, and print. If any of that is hard to do, the course has failed at its job. Here is the standard we hold this site to, where it currently falls short, and how to tell us.
The standard we aim at
alignin40.com targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That covers colour contrast, keyboard operation, text alternatives, form labelling, and respecting the motion and contrast preferences your device already knows about.
Where we actually stand
Partially conformant, and actively remediating. Most of the site meets Level AA, some of it has not been verified yet, and the parts listed below are known to fall short. We would rather say that than claim a clean sheet.
This is a self-assessment against the guidelines, made by reviewing the site’s own markup and colour tokens. It is not a certified third-party audit.
What has been done
Every page opens with a skip link to its main content, so a keyboard reader does not cross the sticky chrome and the progress strip on the way to the thing they came for.
Keyboard focus is always visible. The canvas and the wall are two different grounds, so the focus ring is drawn in marker ink on board stock and in canary on plaster, rather than one colour that disappears against half the site.
Text and interface colours are set to meet the Level AA contrast ratios against the ground they actually sit on. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning — a filled-in zone is marked with a tick and a word, not just a green tint.
Every worksheet field has a real label, not just a placeholder, and the sheet says out loud whether your writing has been saved. If the marker animations would bother you, setting “reduce motion” on your device stops them; increasing contrast and reducing transparency are honoured too.
Known gaps
Third-party surfaces. The payment form is Stripe’s embedded checkout and the lesson player is Cloudflare Stream. Both are rendered by code we do not author, so their accessibility is theirs and not ours. We monitor them, and we will move if they stop being usable.
Lesson captions and transcripts. We have not yet verified captions on every lesson video. If a lesson is not captioned when you reach it, write to us and we will send you the transcript directly while we fix it.
End-to-end screen reader testing. The site has been reviewed against the guidelines, but has not yet been walked start to finish with every major screen reader and browser pairing.
Telling us something is broken
Email hello@corefour.academy and say what you were trying to do, which page you were on, and what got in the way. The browser and assistive technology you use helps, but do not let missing detail stop you writing — a sentence is enough.
A person reads it. We will reply, tell you what we found, and where we can, get you the content another way in the meantime — the lessons and the one-page plan are the product, and a barrier on this site is not a reason for you to go without them.
